The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission recently released a notification about postponing the Prelims Exams. The UPPSC Prelim Exam was earlier conducted on 17th March 2024, which has now changed. The official Authority has stated that the exams have been postponed, and they will soon release a new notification to update students. The fresh date will be announced again on the official UPPSC site. Further, the officials have hinted that the exam will now be conducted in July. Students should stay updated with further changes in the exam on the official website of UPPSC.

UPPSC Prelims 2024 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC Exam is conducted annually and comprises two papers in the prelims. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are objective types. The time allotted is two hours. This exam is conducted in offline mode. Paper 1- Approx. 100- 150 questions will comprise Paper 1 and be considered for merit ranking.

Paper 2- This is the main exam where students must secure a minimum of 33 % to pass. This paper will decide the overall ranking and merit.

UPPSC Mains 2024 Exam Pattern

UPPSC Mains Exam will have 6 compulsory and two optional papers. General Hindi and Essay will be 150 Marks. The remaining subjects are General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, General Studies IV, Optional Subject I, and Optional Subject II of 200 Marks. Students can take UPPSC Mains Books to prepare for each subject. The time for each subject is 3 Hours. Students should start their preparation just after taking the prelim exam.

UPPSC Interview 

The interview is the next step after the Candidate clears the prelims and main exams. 100 Marks are allotted for the Interview Round. It will cover general awareness, intelligence, correct body language, general interests, and understanding of current ongoing topics in the country. The interview is very important as the Candidate will present himself in front of the selecting panel, who will judge and then select the Candidate based on his/her knowledge, merit, ranking, and overall conduct.
